Denise Harrington spends her days changing about a zillion poopie diapers that belong to her little boy and baby girl. Every chance she gets, she escapes to her laptop to write a few words then -- "MOMMA!!" -- duty calls. She IS unequivocally, your typical stay-at-home mommy in Los Angeles, California (minus the faux tits, white Range Rover or Botox grin.)

But there was a time before her Fridays nights were spent lactating in her husband's hockey jersey and Saturday mornings searching in vain for her chubby toes. Ten years ago, her career began as a student teacher at Hollywood High School. After graduating college, she battled in the trenches of LAUSD as an English teacher for eight years. (And yes, teaching is grand but can drive one insane!) During this time, she met the love of her life. Oh my god, he was (is) soooo damn irresistible and sexy! Her Cowboy as she calls him.

What else can I tell you??...She loves watching "The Bachelor" and "Ugly Betty." She dreams about McDreamy and McSteamy when lying in bed at night. She eats every flavor of Ben and Jerry's ice cream right from the tub…without a spoon. She can inhale a large pepperoni and garlic pizza in fifteen minutes followed by two pints of merlot. Denise is the quintessential chic lit author -- she loves sex...with her husband, love, date night, romance, procreating...with her husband and food. What can be better? (Perhaps all at the same time?)

And just to be official looking, it's best you know that Denise received her B.A. in English from Mount Saint Mary’s College and her M.A. in Education from Pepperdine University.
